In this blog we have mentioned the journey of different scholars of Fiqh in Islam, how they collected the knowledge of Ahadees of Prophet S.A.W. Below are the scholars mentioned:

1. Imam Abu Hanifa (R.A.):

Early Life:

Imam Abu Hanifa was born Numan ibn Thabit in Kufa, Iraq, in 699 CE (80 AH) to a Persian merchant family, inheriting his father’s silk trade business, which he ran with notable honesty and integrity. Even in his youth, he displayed a remarkable intellect and deep interest in Islamic knowledge. He attended lectures by notable scholars, including Hammad ibn Abi Sulayman, and eventually founded the Hanafi school of Islamic jurisprudence.

2. Imam Malik (R.A.):

Early Life:

Imam Malik ibn Anas (c. 711–795 CE) was a prominent Islamic scholar, jurist, and the founder of the Maliki School of Islamic law, known for his devout life, profound knowledge, and courage. Born in Medina, he spent his entire life there, studying under numerous scholars and becoming a leading authority on Hadith and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). His seminal work, Al-Muwatta, is highly respected for its authenticity and was compiled from a vast number of Hadith and established practices of Medina. Imam Malik also notably faced persecution for his religious convictions, particularly when he declared that a divorce under duress was invalid. He remained a respected figure until his death, teaching many students, including Imam al-Shafi’i, and was buried in the Jannat al-Baqi cemetery in Medina.
